This November, we honor Native American Heritage Month, celebrating the strength, resilience, and cultural richness of Indigenous peoples. From their deep-rooted traditions to their contributions to fields as diverse as environmental stewardship, leadership, and community well-being, Native American heritage enriches our shared journey.

The U.S. is home to 579 federally recognized sovereign tribal nations. We honor the rich heritage and diverse cultures and traditions of all Native American and Indigenous communities and their integral importance to our past, present, and future.

Let us take this month to learn, share, and appreciate the wisdom, stories, and values passed down through generations. Together, we celebrate the enduring spirit of Indigenous communities and reaffirm our commitment to understanding, respect, and inclusion.

In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.”*Haudenosaunee Teaching
