Learn More About Our History and Mission
“It takes a village to raise a child” may be an old cliché, but it certainly holds true. At Child & Family Resources, we’re dedicated to being your village. We serve children, families, and entire communities in the state of Arizona, providing educational resources, prevention measures, and childcare support. We understand the challenges and the joys of being a parent, and we’re here to give you much-needed support as you help your kids grow into responsible adults.
Serving Arizona Communities for Over 50 Years
Child & Family Resources has been a staple of several communities for over 50 years. Since we opened our doors in 1970 as The Tucson Association for Child Care, we’ve had the honor of addressing unmet needs and gaps in social services. Today, we continue to operate with the goal of cultivating quality childcare and supporting low-income families. We’re 300 team members strong and have offices in Apache Junction, Bullhead City, Casa Grande, Douglas, Flagstaff, Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Nogales, Phoenix, Safford, Sierra Vista, Tucson, and Yuma.
We Abide by a Strong Mission
Our mission statement is available in both English and Spanish so as many community members can access our services as possible. We operate according to the following principle:
At Child & Family Resources, we build strong communities where children can reach their full potential. We do this by using effective prevention and education strategies with families, teens, and early educators.
En Child and Family Resources, construimos comunidades fuertes donde los niños pueden alcanzar su máximo potencial. Hacemos esto usando estrategias eficaces de prevención y educación con familias, adolescentes y educadores de temprana edad.
How We Improve Our Community
With our mission statement in mind, we work to build resilient children and families in numerous communities throughout Arizona. We strive to help parents meet the challenges of having a low income or a child with disabilities. Child & Family Resources is also committed to directly improving the lives of our youth. We organize programs to teach teens how to become better leaders and make healthy choices for their bodies. Finally, we work to support childcare centers in the area by providing education, professional development, and even food.
